Could a pregnancy test read negative and a blood test read
positive?
Yes it is possible have seen many cases of women that take a
home pregnancy test that reads negative but later went for a blood test that
confirmed them pregnant positive. This does not mean that the urine test is not
that reliable, there are many factors that are responsible for most urine
result coming out as false positive.
First at the time of carrying out the HCG test it could be
done too early at the time where by the HCG hormone is just starting out and it
is very low in the blood, carrying out urine test at this early stage might
come negative most time then you have to wait a few days before repeating same
test.
Also you should be aware that it is the early morning urine
that has the strongest concentration thus you are sure of getting accurate
result when you take such test as soon as you get up in the morning.
Now if after going through the urine test it is advisable to
go for the blood test to full proof or confirmation as this is 100% very
accurate even if the urine test fails but sure the blood test will always give
you the right result. Hence it is recommended you go see your Doctor for a
blood test, most times most doctors normally conduct two blood test to double confirm
that the initial test they got was right.
I have seen cases whereby a urine test was conducted three
good times the result came as positive to pregnancy but on going for a blood
test it then proves to be negative this in conclusion shows that can surly read
either positive or negative while you get the actual accurate result from a
blood test.
